2026 Porsche 911 GTS | The Stable Garage
The hybrid era arrives. 532 horsepower, a turbocharged flat-six paired with an electric motor, and the same unmistakable 911 character — now in GT Silver Metallic in our garage.
The Story
It is here. After months of configuring, waiting, and watching the build tracker inch forward, the 2026 Porsche 911 GTS arrived in GT Silver Metallic and it did not disappoint. We collected it from the dealership on a clear April morning, drove it straight to Palm Springs, and by the time we reached the desert the car had already made its intentions clear.
The 2026 GTS represents a pivotal moment in the 911 lineage. For the first time, the GTS badge sits atop a hybrid powertrain — a 3.6-litre turbocharged flat-six paired with an electric motor integrated into the new eight-speed PDK transmission. The result is 532 horsepower and a 0–60 time of 2.9 seconds. But numbers only tell part of the story.
The GTS has always been the sweet spot of the 911 range: more focused than the Carrera, more livable than the GT3. This generation continues that tradition while adding a new dimension of instant torque and responsiveness that the electric motor provides. On canyon roads the hybrid system fills in the gaps between gear changes with a seamlessness that the previous generation could not match. On the freeway it disappears entirely — the car feels, sounds, and drives like a pure-petrol 911.
We spec'd this car with a clear vision: GT Silver Metallic over a dark interior, the Sport Chrono package, and the GTS-specific chassis tuning. Every option was chosen to create the ultimate canyon-carving grand tourer — a car equally at home on a weekend blast through the Santa Monica Mountains as it is on a cross-country road trip. The first few weeks of ownership have confirmed that instinct. The GTS is already earning its place as the most capable car in The Stable.
