The route

This verified 169-mile White Mountains circuit begins in North Conway and crosses the complete Kancamagus Highway to Lincoln. The second day passes through Franconia Notch to Bretton Woods. Day three visits the Mount Washington Cog Railway before returning through Crawford Notch to North Conway, while the final day is reserved for a weather-dependent Mount Washington Auto Road out-and-back.

The itinerary no longer presents the retired Cannon Mountain Tram II as operating. The Cog Railway and Auto Road require separate bookings, and the Auto Road must be treated as conditional on the day's weather, live operating status and published vehicle restrictions. Fuel or charge before the Kancamagus stage, download every route before leaving service, and expect slower traffic throughout the foliage period.
